    Shimano 600 6401 8 Speed shift levers with clamp

    I do have a Shimano RX100 7 speed indexed shifters (on the tube) which works fine in combination with an 8 vit (shimano) cassette. No problem, and indexed as well. :-)

    Can you use a 8 speed mech on a 7 speed cassette/sti

    I do use a 8 vit cassette with an old school 7 vit Shimano R100 SIS shifter on the down tube. No trouble at all. Even a 10 can be used, but in that case I have to put the SIS function down.

    Youth race bike from the 70's - Van Haastrecht - Build by Jan van Haastrecht Leidschendam (Netherlands). 24 inch wheel size with (new) Vittoria 24 Juniores tubulars. As well as other Italian parts from, Ofmega, Nisi, 3TTT, San Marco (Concor Junior, a size smaller).

    Nice job done so far. The sticky fork and stem issue is a pretty common one. Not my favorite. But you did well. Compliments. Looking forward to the complete results.

    Tyres for 1980's Raleigh Sirocco

    Re: Till recently I had a Raleigh Sirocco as well. But to my opinion the original tires were Wolber's W20S Coton 20 mm. I replaced them for 23 cm wwith tires, without a problem.

    Motobecane La Redoute Road Bike.

    For me a project already for 2017 is another team replica of Motobecane (or MBK as it was called later on). The team replica for the ADR-Fangio-IOC-MBK team of 1987. I am already picking parts.

    Moser Bike: Can anybody help?

    I guess teh bike is from late 70, early 80's. There is still one bottle cage mounting possible. However the bike is not equipped with the original parts they are era OK for this time. The number 73 is probably the degress of the geometrie for the bottombracket.
