    Ex RMO Gitane

Nice job done (and some minor issues to do). :D Indeed a pretty good condition. Team bikes are normally worn out by the pro's. Not only for racing, but also in traveling. You'd better be a pro than its bike om a plain... :? However sometimes there are some which are in rather mint condition...

    Critique my Rabobank build please..

Nice job done. Compliments... Indeed it are only details. Brake cables on those bikes were 'standard' Shimano, so gray/silver. Non of the pro riders at that time in the team did brake the 'Italian' way, as in front brake by right lever and rear brake by the left one. Pedals were at first pretty...

    Unknown frame.

Re: Re: Indeed, Giant did make use of simular drop outs. Instead of the hole there was a Giant logo. And... Giant did make lugged frames. See for example the Giant Peloton Superlite. The blue/purple ones in earlier had those drop outs by the way...

    Motobecane Team Champion info required

Nice classic one. With some really old parts. But however not all together. Brake calipers (MAFAC) does not match the levers (Weinmann, which seam 60/70's). Wheels aren't a set, front wheel high flange, rear wheel low flange. Nice old Campagnolo derailleurs. Keep it in this condition and enjoy...

    Stripping old paint old Bianchi

1.) Steel wool with resolvant and easy on. At first a spot not in the view. 2.) Paintstripper, also easy on. Most of the time newer coating is easier to remove than the old original layer. 3.) Razorblade were you also remove spot on a glas window. Bit by bit. Success....

1950 Claud Butler Avant Coureur - What is this braze on?

Re: What is this braze on? I do have embossed Campagnolo shifters on my 1961 Locomotief which were pretty commun at those days. The shifters itselfs can be moved, the embossed parts however not. There is no lose band...

    Motobecane Junior

Please someone who can help with the year where this bike has been built. Ik think it is 1987, but I cannot find it in the various Motobecane catalogues on the net. It is a 24 inch wheels child racer with mudgards etcetera. The original dropbar was with it. I am restoring it go-slow

You must be a follower... But indeed, I do like (re)building old bikes. But I can better store them as (digital) pictures rather than complete bikes. One (retro) bike is enough te posses.
