Agreed, but it is also nice trying to understand why a specific frame is so pleasant to ride. For us in the real world, indeed, the experience prevails, but I am still amazed by the sum of knowledge underlying a bike construction - and all of it is not necessarily BS or fashion! 🙃

I've just measured the diameters of the diagonal tube (35mm) and the seat and horizontal tubes (32mm), indeed quite unusually big.

Yep, thanks! I thought so ... It will be quite hard to replicate the nice Eden Rock ride since it is certainly a combination of great alloy (531) but also specific tubing characteristics (butting, diameter, etc.) I have seen that today's "equivalent" to 531 would be 520 but I had several frames...
