    Spooky Bandwagon ratty rescue resto

Re: Re: Thank you! I admit took me a while to get the motivation to start this and was quick to let me know how stubborn it was going to be to clean up. Chuffed with how it turned out though. My DMR is still going strong. Has had a few subtle changes over the years and continues to be my...

Re: Re: Was in two minds whether to keep it that way but it needs still a hell of a lot of work to get the finish right. Don’t think my fingers could take anymore

Re: Re: Love that Bandwagon and remember the build on here from some years back. Nice that you’ve had it for all that time! Would never sell any of mine either that’s for sure

    Spooky Bandwagon ratty rescue resto

This was a ratty Bandwagon that I found for sale mistakenly advertised as a DMR. I knew it wasn't though which was obvious. £20 later and it was mine although it was in a real sorry state. I could see it could become and nice frame with a bit of work. The brake bosses had been removed, a crude...

There's something about seeing a Metalhead being used how it should bitd. Love the look of those braced Azonic bars too. Very cool!

Awesome build, very nice! Stealth looking 8) Mines all NOS and I barely ride it so no it's never been offroad or seen any dirt, and probably never will now.. Built it more for show than anything. Rides lovely though.

    DMR Trailstar 1998

This is a frame I've had for some time now, found not too far away and within easy pick up distance. I purchased it from it's original owner who brought it new in '98. It had been well looked after and had zero rust or damage apart from some minor wear on decals. It deserved to be built up...

    Spooky Metalhead nos

It's been a while since I've updated on here since completing, so thought best add some fresher pics... Have since added a nos Marzocchi Z3 QR20, and more recently a pair of nos Hope 185/165 rotors and Azonic Head Lock. I think it's all done now :)

Re: Been speaking with you on ig about this but thought i’d note my interest here too... it’s a perfect solution for what i need!

    Spooky Metalhead nos

Cheers! I’m over the moon with the way it turned out :) It’s a bit shorter than the Trailstar and bb is higher so is a lot more compact in the cockpit. I could do with more layback on the seatpost. But the ride is very solid, and less forgiving than the steel frame for sure. The rigid forks and...

Thank you! I’ve no patience at all tbh lol... but i did know what i was looking for so just had to wait til they showed up for sale. I shouldn’t have built it really. Stretching it out made it easier to spend the money on it when the right parts came up though. Got some right bargains

Haha! I’m up for that. Nice solid build btw ;) Love the forks you’ve got on yours.

Re: I like that a lot Lee, and it’s a shame it was one of the last hardcore hardtails to come out of spooky unless i’m mistaken. Really miss Spooky mk2 and Mickey’s enthusiasm! It kinda made it. I think there was a hint at getting Frank back to do something so will be good to see if they can...

Re: Right, first things first and that is to apologise to anyone who was initially interested in what was going on with this build. It's been a while; nearly four years since teasing you guys with this frame, but i guess i knew from the outset that it was going to be a long winded build. A lot...

    Aeronaut's DMR Trailstar

I'll look forward to seeing it finished, it's a nice example there with the bmx bb. You don't seem to come across many of those versions of frame. It'll be awesome ;)
