Just to add, I was the chap on eBay who asked to see the underside of the bike, and advised against taking a cheeky low offer when it was first listed. And I for one thank MatBH5 for being so open with his findings. The crack is significant to the frame. It is likely repairable but the cost...

She'd struggle with 12mm!.. I assure you that 12mm is not similar to 5". 12mm could inaccurately be described as being similar to 0.5". I am not uninterested in this but it does look like a bill from the likes of www.carbonology.com/ should be factored in.

You didn't buy anychance buy it from a chap in Leeds did you? My father had a Singer Le Mans and sold it off when the garage it was living in started to fall down around it... He of course blames the arrival of me for the car having to go.
