Re: Yes kyle,the bike is just meant to be a bit of an all rounder,not trials specific :) The HS33 is in good working order,so I'll put that on at the weekend.Still undecided about the cranks though!Does anyone have any more ideas on a good set of cranks for the Trailstar??

Re: They should do the job nicely!Not sure about the colour though,think I will keep an eye out for a black set. Also thinking of swapping my XT rear brake for a HS33 that I have on my old Cannondale,is it worth it??

Re: Forgot to mention......my aim is to build a good all round hardtail for £300 or less, I paid £120 for the bike,so I have about £180 left to spend. :)

The kona should do the job well,I had a 16" kona scab,back in about 2000.Great bike,I rode it just about everywhere.It certainly lived upto it's name though ! I will upload some pics of the Trailstar when I get some spare time--- Google 2001 Dmr trailstar on bikesoup, and you should...
