Has anyone got one of these dust caps going spare they want to sell? I'm missing one on my Dawes Galaxy project.

Progress may be slow, I'm in no rush. I'll be doing stuff when time and funds are available. I've waited 30+ years for one so a few more months won't hurt.😁

I'm starting to make a list of parts needed for my 1980 Dawes Galaxy restoration. I'm going to need to replace the 5 speed freewheel. Can I use an indexed freewheel with friction shifters? I know it doesn't work the other way around. Choice for non indexed is a bit limited.

Strip down started. I suspect it was left outside possibly against a wall with the non-drive side exposed to the elements more. All the screws bolt etc on that side are badly rusted. The front derailleur clamp screw sheared off. Another fun job to add to the stuck seatpost.

Some more pics as it came. I gave it a wipe over with WD 40 and the paint isn't bad. A bit of flaking paint and rust around the seat clamp bolt, top tube is a bit faded and the usual Shed/Garage paint splashes which should come off with white spirit. A good T-Cut and polish should bring it up...
