Hi, I've just got hold of this Bryan Warnett track frame no. 26679 and also no. 17 stamped separately on the other side of bottom bracket. I guess it's from 1979 and would the first three numbers mean 26th June? Perhaps the no. 17 means 17th frame built?

Sorry, but rereading my last post,that should be Sally Hodge, and as far as I know she is still thriving and not "shot while racing".

Re: Sally Hodges, who represented Britain at the Seoul Olympics and rode many international track and road events, had frames built for her by Bryan. Until recently there was a big black and white signed photo of her in Bryans' shop in Pontcanna St. shot while racing.
