Help! - Issues with vintage Marzocchi bomber fork

Ok, I think I see the problem, the red highlighted section is part of the lower rubber seal. The outter rubber has bonded to the alloy. Try taking needle nose pliers to it and see if its malleable enough to peel off small sections at a time. Go slow and maybe apply heat with a heat gun or hair...

Help! - Issues with vintage Marzocchi bomber fork

I wouldn't do any sanding unless you are going to be meticulous in cleaning out the lowers afterwards. Best to avoid making metal dust and just get a flat head screw driver or other metal tool to press down flat those peaks and high points on the metal lip. Doing that will take the least amount...

Help! - Issues with vintage Marzocchi bomber fork

With that damage, you will run the risk that a new rubber seal will not seat properly which may cause leaks or poor performance. Best to use a used seal to test it out first before popping an expensive new seal in if that's your plan There is a youtuber named "Butter suspension" as he does an...

    Judy damper - rebuild possible?

ATBOY on youtube does a very detailed rebuild of a Judy fork including the cartridge. His 97/98 fork is the plastic cartridge but same applies to the alloy one I believe. I followed his instructions for my 98 Judy rebuild and it turned out excellent. Here is a screenshot of the video with the...

1993 Rocky Mountain Blizzard - Build Thread

Naturally getting an exact match of 31 year old powder coat wasn't going to be possible so of all the samples of black, dark grey and white powders I went with these. I decided to go for a little heavier metallic and a little darker than stock and the 'off white' is just a nice glossy white...

1993 Rocky Mountain Blizzard - Build Thread

Yes, its standard / stock paint and decals but the white section has yellowed. Found a Ritchey logo stamped on the BB shell. I know the dropouts are Ritchey but anyone know why the shell would be stamped? These weren't Tom Ritchey built, were they?
