Mother's California Gold wax Before hitting your frame with the polishing wheel, you might want to apply the paint to a test piece of metal to see if that paint hardens enough when dry to take to the wheel without swelling

I did. Since I mostly had rock chips, I chose to polish first then dab the paint on the chips. The nail polish flows nicely to fill in the chips and I just applied wax to the entire frame after I used the finest tipped brush I could find to do the touch ups.

2 stage meaning I used two different polish compounds. The first is a little more abrasive to get the scratches out, the second brings it to a nice shine. Finish it up with a car wax and it will look great. The model paints available in Canada are now mostly water based enamel. Decided to go...

I was thinking of slapping on some Curve cranks but after reading multiple posts of people commenting how they are "soft as cheese", I'm opting for my Kooka Forged cranks. I think polished cranks will suit the build better than black. Time for the rubber gloves and aircraft paint stripper

    Repurposing Vintage Bicycle Parts

Not mine but I plan to do something like this with a frame that rusted through the chainstay on me. Also plan to tinker and see if I can make a crank arm the on/off switch. Will sketch something out on a dirty napkin at the pub come winter time

    Norco Rampage

Easy peasy. The only thing you may need is the tool to press in the seals. You'll need a 30mm seal kit and Specialty Retro Products is the place to get quality Dr. Zocchi seals in North America Youtuber, Butter Suspension does a great detailed rebuild on a Z1 that I have duplicated on a couple...

Just finished touching up the rock chips and giving the paint a 2 stage cut polish. I've attached a picture of a near perfect match nail polish for anyone else with a 95 Cinder Cone that has been wanting a touch up paint. I brought the frame into the cosmetic store to make sure I got it right...

    Norco Rampage

Nice Rampage you have there. The top of the line, 90's Norco hard tails are some of my favorite. I like how you don't see many Rampage, TNT's and Team Issue's around. Norco either produced less units than the top tier Rocky's, Kona's and Brodie's or many ended up getting abused and tossed in the...

OK, not done. Thanks to @Canuckbiker for pointing out an eBay listing for some cool Vittoria tires with grey walls. As much as I like tan walls, I think some more grey would suit the build better Another thanks to @sunympholepsy for sorting me out with an awesome set of Gipiemme Tecno M416...

Real Design brake levers. Missing spacers?

I doubt it but I have not tried. I chose to fill the empty recess to minimize movement with the brake cable end anchor inside the lever. Braking feels nice and crisp. I say fill it if you can, even if its with some sort of putty but hot glue has held up well for me
