    no one noticed the lack of planes in the sky ?

    If you look up there are no contrails at all. After the plane has left these are dispersed and result in a white haze high up. In Lancs the sky is absolutely clear of any "plane cloud" and I last saw the sky this clear some time in Sept 2002...
