I remember my mate getting one of these for his birthday in about 1994. It was a thing of wonder, I remember how incredibly light and awesome it seemed compared to my townsend excuse for an mtb!

I think this is a comet, has track ends and mud guard holes. It was a kind of weekend track racers bike, back when people could only afford one bike

I just had a look for a Schwinn Mesa 99 with rst forks and I'm pretty sure those boots wont fit, thanks anyway!

thanks they may fit then..The forks I have are the ones on the left. I tried some boots off some rst461s and they were too small

thanks for the offer they are specific to the hi-5s though as the stanchions are quite a bit wider

This was my first "proper" mountainbike back in 1995. I upgraded everthing on it and then finally got a new frame so its been sitting around not doing a lot for the last 10 years. Its a really good quality steel frame in the 15" size. Geometry can be found here...
