    Repairing dents in thinwall aluminium?

That's a good idea. I'll have to wait and see the frame when I recieve it to see whether it's structural. Needless to say, if it's structural, I'd have to take it up with the seller. Actually, I know that dented motorcycle gas tanks can be internally pressurized to pop the dents back out...

Interesting! Polished copper plated Kona Kilauea 19" r

An interesting bike, At this price I'd only buy it if it had far nicer components. On the other hand, someone on here might think it's worthwhile. http://cgi.ebay.com/Copper-Plated-Kona- ... dZViewItem

    Repairing dents in thinwall aluminium?

I just bought another frame from eBay, another project to start...and never to complete...and this one has a dent in the top tube QUESTION? Can this dent be pulled out somehow? I wouldn't need it to be perfect, just much better than it is so that I can get a professional painter to match...

    Mavic equipped rc100......

I'm very impressed with your attention to detail. Bravo! I especially like the nice gold anodizing work. I've had a few anodizing quotes from shops in my area and I can attest to the expesnse of this restoration effort.

Retro set up - if u rode mtbs in the early 90's, comment!

So I've been having this internal debate lately as I continue to acquire more retro frames and parts. For many during the early 90's, the preferred way to set up your ride was with the smallest frame possible mated to a super long seatpost and long/low rise stem. The reasoning was as...

    Skater Helmets

I sometimes use my skater/snowboard helmet with built in low-profile earmuffs during cold weather rides just to keep my ears from freezing off. However, I'm agreed, they look bloody ugly.

original retro bike with ovalized headtube...arrghhh.

The last time my 91 Specialized S-works steel was ridden was when it was borrowed by a 220 lb jackass of a friend. This dolt is mechanically inept and never told me the headset was loose the entire time. 1" headtube + steel frame...result? Yup, ovalized headtube. Oh well, I never rode it...

How to extend steel steerer tube...?

looked into Gripsport Thanks for the tip. I emailed Gripsport and Jon Weaving emailed me back with a friendly and informative response about his service. I really like the way it's engineered and the cost of the service is very reasonable. Unfortunately I calculated a few shipping estimates...

How to extend steel steerer tube...?

I have a Syncros rigid (threaded of course) that I'd like to extend by 1 cm. The original tube is pressed into the crown. Any ideas? Thanks

    Rocky Mountain Cirrus Frame

Rocky Mountain Experience The curved flat chainstay bridge (welded in 3 places including into the seat tube) identifies your frame as an Experience and not a Cirrus. It's 7000 series, 2mm (if my memory serves me correctly) straight gauge aluminum (not Easton, I think it might be either...

    Rocky Mountain Cirrus Frame

Rocky Mountain Experience I'm pretty sure that's actually a Rocky Mountain Experience, not a Cirrus. I believe the Experience is even harder to come by than the Cirrus. While the frames share the same construction, they have different geometry and tube lengths. I could make a 100%...
