Cool & Unique vintage Iron Horse hardtail A-Frame racer

I've always wanted one of these since they had a cool race pedigree from the early 90's. Unfortunately it's too smal for me- 16" frame. They were so unique back in the day and I remember seeing a few around, this despite the fact that the A-Frame was essentially a solution to a non-problem...

No time for a fashion show.

I'm always drawn back to this bike. Something about it...the angles are just perfection. 0 degree stem, extended seatpost, sloping downtube. Yup, just bloody cool.

    Syncros Revolution Crankset

Thanks for the input. Maybe I could fit them to a future ultralight racer. I figure the bike would have to be a featherweight if I've got no granny gear! cheers

    Syncros Revolution Crankset

Seems that this is a roadie set-up. Can I make this work on a mountain bike? Cheers http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1

    GT LTS transformation

nice. The flip flop colour threw me for a loop for a second! I've never seen that scheme b4. Q? What frame size? The angles are just right.

Paul Component Engineering PURPLE ANO ALERT!

Found these at my LBS. While I have no use for them, (either the part or the purple), I figured I couldn't let these retro babies languish away for another 10+ years. They're going to languish away in my parts room instead. So, who's retro enough to remember what these were for? :wink...

1994 Rocky Mountain Altitude Project Resto-Mod!

Thanks for the kind words. A few points to ponder... Decals - I'd like to get repros, but I'm time strapped, so no fiddling around getting them made from scratch. Rocky Mountain customer service sucks lately, so no answers there. I have a set of modern decals, but since they're made for...

1994 Rocky Mountain Altitude Project Resto-Mod!

UPDATED - FISNIHED with some more lightweight in the future. (Jun 24) This frame has been collecting dust for 2 years. Just got it started... As you can see so far: - Frame walnut blasted, powdercoated gloss black (canti-guide removed from upper seatstays) - Rock Shox SID XC...

    hope m4

Hope Mono M4 I've got a used set for sale where you could just use the lever. However, I think we're a little too distant to make this work. http://vancouver.craigslist.org/bik/322433998.html I could take the new pads back out and sell the used set-up to you for $100CAN$ + post which...

    Project 2's

Sorry to threadjack, but I have a question about that extension. Is it for simply mounting a threadless stem onto an older fork, or does it allow you to use a threadless headset as well? Thanks!

1" RockShox Paris Roubaix SL road racing suspension for

Wow, it's been absolutely ages since I've seen one of these. If only it was a 1 1/8th then I'd be hoarding it for myself! :D http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-Rockshox-1-thr ... dZViewItem

Early 90's Cannondale M1000 - Full Suntour XC Comp!

Wow, talk about a classic original spec find. I lusted after one of these in my highschool years. (Next best thing to a Klein Attitude at the time). This bike would make you lose your teeth considering it has the ultra rigid Pepperoni fork. This seller isn't in the know since he thinks...

    1992 Kona Kilauea - 16"

It's a little small for me, but makes a wicked fast pavement ripper. The great thing is, I picked it up because aside from the brake arch (since removed), saddle, bar and bar ends (which I added to stretch the cockpit out a bit). It's pretty much original.

what was the one thing you most regret ..............

The one that got away... About 8 years ago I walked into a sports consignment store here in Vancouver, B.C. and one of the used bikes caught my eye (despite having a panier rack and various other commuter accutrements). Upon closer inspection it turned out to be a well used 18.5" 1990-92 Rocky...

    Hi I am new here

I'm pretty new here as well but have been a mtb enthusiast since 1988 (pretty much since the beginning of really decent commercialized mountain bikes I suppose). If I was to hazard a guess to your question, I'd say 12 years seems to be a magic number at this point. Anything older than 1995...
