    The saddle lottery

With brooks its important you proofided the underside and don't buff it off if used without mudguards. I'm hoping mines comfy when it's bedded in :D Rolls is my favourite otherwise, want to try a flite and a turbo next :D Hated my go on spoons!!

    Retrobike geometry

Well I've ridden a 8" travel bike round sherwood pines and didn't have to get out of the seat or even have to stop pedalling over obsticals. My rigid saracen was completely different, hanging off the bike everywhere, hopping, pedalling skidding and all sorts to keep it on line. My current Marin...

    Raleighracers Marin Bear Valley

Flat bars arrived  Not the logos I was hoping for but not the end of the world  The search has begun for some kona project 2 forks, as shorter a-c as possible to regain the original angles, but need a steerer of at least 200mm. Once I've found some I am going to have a disc tab...

BoTM May 13- Kona vs GT vs Specialized Special - Nominations

Re: BoTM May 13- Kona vs GT vs Specialized Special - Nominat Well don't vote for them then! Pretty simple, everyone votes for their BOTM Race bike like that, granted it's very nice and means a lot to some people but I was barely even able to ride a bike when it was used so doesn't mean...

What Not To Do? Here come the MTB Style Police

Too many colours/anodising Huge gel seats Valve caps have to be inline with tyre logos!!!!!!!!! No excuses for that one at all If were doing a bike purely for looks. Fast riding position, no spacers under the stem, fork cut so no spacers on top, matching post/stem or post/bars with a quill...

    1980's Kunker (kind of)

My friend has a modernish (05ish) Raleigh that were trying to play about with this style. It's great fun, going to fit my huge but worn maxxis tyres, has a rear brake only but may be having front suspension soon as he's winging, although this will just slacken the head angle more :D then it's...
