Re: Ok so this evening I found an old cassette spacer ring and gave it a go but I ended up with too much spacing - the cassette lockring won't reach the threads It will probably be ok if I grind the 3 pins of the back of the cassette - Ill get there one way or another :)

Re: Thanks everyone I think I've a spare 1mm spacer. I'm going to try that after work and see but I've a feeling I might need to take up more than 1mm of slack

Hi guys I've began to rebuild my old 93 kilauea. Tonight I tried to swap a 7 speed hg cassette from a buckled wheel (lx m563 hub) to a better wheel (xt m732 hub) the problem is that on the xt hub 6th gear isn't tight in the cluster when i tighten the lock ring What am I doing wrong? Thanks...

Re: Hi what's the serial? I think it should start with a T Then the next thing a digit I think is the year it was made - usually a year before the bike was in the shops T1 - would be 1992 I'm trying to remember so don't quote me
