3 piece cranks use 9/16th pedals (1 piece use 1/2 inch) your cranks will have a american bottom bracket and the kuwie uses a euro bb, most euro bb take a 19mm axle pics of the cranks would help

the chainring is attached to the crank via a locknut which also acts as a cone for the bearing, generally u need a big pair of grips to remove the lock nut
