Fuji - Ritchey ? What is it ?

Wow, pretty darn light for a single butted frame of this size. What´s the weight of the fork?

    1989 Rockhopper first ride

Looks nice! One tip regarding the tyres; there´s a british company that has a new skinwall model for sale. They´re 2.35 inchers and would probably fit the RockHopper nicely. http://halorims.co.uk/products-details. ... pe=all&c=P

    Mekp's Bike - Marin Team - 1995

Nice frame! I like such details as the cable stops brazed on the headtube.

    1989 Rockhopper first ride

The photos don´t reflect the impression you get in person. In reality the blue is much darker with a tint of lavender than in these pics made with a flashlight.

    Are Tacx jockey wheels rubbish?

I think they´re as useless as every pulley wheels with sealed precision industrial ball bearings fitted to an outer cog. Did your wheels loose the sealing rings or were those damaged? Maybe you should look after that. I have a pair of Tacx Delrin pulley wheels which are in part time use...

    this years winter bike

Is that a set of Suntour XC II pedals you´re using there?! Are you aware of the most recent prices paid for those pedals and how easily they can be detached from the crank? I would go with some cheaper and more unobtrusive ones on a commuter like Sakae Low-Fat or something like that...

1989 Muddyfox Courier Comp - U Brake Version!

I really like the copious use of Suntour parts. I think, every bike deserves some of them. :)

    Best paint job ever....

Now, when we´re at it - i remember two other great paint schemes from Cannondale i saw back in the early nineties. Unfortunately i had no camera with me when i saw these bikes in a show room of a bike shop in Münster, i just had some stencils and a piece of paper with me.... :D First...

    Best paint job ever....

I totaly agree. The SM 1000 paint job is one of the most attractive ones C´dale has EVER made. The deepness of the blue is unrivalled. I remember a pal of mine back in the nineties - he used an SM 1000 with this colour scheme as a street/town bike in Münster - North Rhine/Westphalia ...... later...

    Threaded Frustration

Well, i thinks that´s one of the circumstances that make dealing with older bicycles so ambitious and puzzling. If someone could combine every part from any period of mountain biking then literally everybody with a slight amount of taste and money could build up a "retro" ride. But maybe...

Suntour XC Pro rear hub sizing help please

That´s so difficult about elucidating the history of SunTour, the years after 1993. Artifacts even more sparse than from the years before when compared with Shimano´s heritage. It almost seems like exploring terra incognita or archaeology to me. :) Sometimes in the forums i frequent photos of...

Suntour XC Pro rear hub sizing help please

What are those specs in the third row? 8 speed non-MD was only available for the Superbe and SL road race group and those hubs had an overlocknut dimension of 126 or 130 mm iirc.
