As promised: Concorde Squadra ex PDM pics.....

Concordes usually are built very short, doe you have any problems with toe-overlap? I used to have a cheaper version in PDM colours. Sadly it ended it's active life in a collision with a clubmate :(

    Gazelle cross bikes

Zieleman was a small frameshop in one of the 19th century suburbs of Amsterdam. A one man workshop building very classy frames. Mostly race though. Zieleman was still building when I livedi n Amsterdam, end of the 80-ies start of the 90-ies. They were highly regarded at that time. Perhaps the...

Looks great this bike. But also it looks extremely nervous. What's the angle at front?

    FT Woodrup Audax frame

I'm definitely looking for a swap with another steel audax frame. Purebread racing frames or road adapted cyclecrossframes give another feeling on the road.

    FT Woodrup Audax frame

As promised some photo's of the frame. To get a better impression of sizes I stuck a pair of wheels in the frame for some photos. I've measured the frame a bit better as the guy who sold it me: Seattube c-c 57,5cm, c-t 59cm toptube: c-c 57cm distance...

    Koga Miyata Flyer, audax version

During the last 2 weeks I received some extra parts for the Koga. So this morning I built it that far that I can take it out onto the road. A short resume of the changes made today, some as announced, some different. *Saddle changed now a Brooks Professional Select *I tried to mount an AXA...

What frame for early (70's) shimano dura ace

Koga Miyata is one of the brands heavily connected to Shimano. Another good shot is Gazelle. Gazelle mainly produced frames. They were finished by their customers in all possible variations.

    FT Woodrup Audax frame

I want to swap this frame. After reading the rules I understood that I had to post it here in this section with FT in the header.

    FT Woodrup Audax frame

Recently I acquired a Woodrup audax frame. Frame is 59cm c-t, abt. 57cm c-c. Toptube 57cm c-c. According to the frame number it's produced in '81 or '82, imported to Germany by the Hamburg Vaumax importers. Since the bottom bracket is quite high the standoverheight is too tight for me. So I...

How old do you think this might be?

Re: Basso Mavic had some very fine downtube levers in those times. Made by Simplex, the retrofriction version. These snippets of info are very important to date the frame&components. I'll go back to some files to check, but these two parts on the original frame are not from the last...

How old do you think this might be?

Mavic brakes were produced by Modolo. I personally prefer single pivot, I tried double pivots once but discarded them after a few rides. Way too harsh in stopping, they slowed me down too much in descents.

Which Modolo brakes are mounted on the frame?

How old do you think this might be?

The Stronglight headset looks quite the same as the Stronglight headsets I bought in either '94 or '95 (in black) and in '97 (in silver). AFAIK colombus frames brazed in lugs were produced at least untill the end of the 90-ies.

help from belgium residents or close?

There is an EU ruling which stipulates that for a transfer within the Eurozone no extra charges may be levied. Sadly quite a lot of banks try their utmost to block this. The bank I use starts to grumble when you do such a transfer too often. Last year I passed this limit :(

How old do you think this might be?

I can remember buying an 8-speed Campa gruppo with single pivot brakes in the mid 90-ies. The cheapo Avanti version. I used parts of it during Bordeaux-Paris '96 and LEL '97, when the ergopower lever gave in.

Campagnolo 8 speed Avanti? ergo problems?

A bit late maybe. I'v usded Campy Avanti in the past. The inner lever sheared off completely at a very unappropriate moment, just before scaling the Pennines on the return leg of LEL in '97. A few years later the same happened to a Mirage inner lever. After upgrading again I never experienced...

Superb paint job, very classy. A great way to revive your old bike, it's looking a lot better than with the old colour scheme.

If you're thinking of buying some proper lights ...

I'm one of the SON Gang. Great power output, and your batteries never run empty ;). I've two nowadays, the old one I've used at multiple PBP's, LEL's and assorted other all night rides. The new one 'only' have done a couple of 600's and one PBP campaign. The old one are now in my Bob Jackson...
