    NOVY Bicycles.

This sort of bike would fetch maybe 20-40 Euro in Belgium, especially in Student's cities. It's a fairly common bike in Belgian towns. The rear rack is welded to the frame so check it carefully for damage. It's not uncommon to transport a grown up person on the back of such a bike.

    Tell me about Gazelle

It's very well possible that the UK importer had a different line regarding pricing and custom vs stock frames. I talk about the situation in the Netherlands during the hey-days of Gazelle. (Although there were regional differences in the Netehrlands.)

    Tell me about Gazelle

Since most frames were built to order details like mudguard eyes and various other attachments were decided by the future owner of the frame. Colour schemes could be chosen over the entire model range.

Any one here owned a Lada Niva?

Ural is the Russian version, Dnjepr the Ukrainian one.

    NOVY Bicycles.

I've still seen many Novy's around in the late 80's. But they were the cheaper versions, city-runabouts albeith of a more sportive kind.

    Gazelle Champion Mondial

Back in the old days I've read a tip that you could use a hacksawblade, put the end through the tube and cut it lengthwise, possibly twice at different places. Then first take the smallest part out (presumably with some force) and then the larger part.

    NOVY Bicycles.

There are a few Belgians selling on Ebay, some cheap some expensive. The advantage is that you can build it up with both French-style as British style parts.

    NOVY Bicycles.

With Belgian bikes it could be even a mixture. There was an influence from the south and an influence from across the water, or the north. So you'll actually have to check the frame to know.

    Tell me about Gazelle

The Gazelle Champion Mondial, AA and AB frames were the mainstay of the Dutch racing peloton for many years. In many regional races over half the participants were riding a Gazelle. Most of them build to measure and finished by their local dealer. So any part mix or any groupset of the right era...

    Renovated Koga Miyata Grantourer

My stable mainly consists of audax bikes. Last year I started a project to build an fully usuable audax bike for less than 500 Euro. My starting point was a Koga Miyata Grantourer from 1987 or 1988. The only year they had classic downtubelevers. So I could easily convert it to Ergopower. My aim...

Nice job. Quite steep angles for a bike with mudguard eyelets.

    Gloria, an atypical Italian bike

The Gloria maque was completely unknown to me untill I saw this frame on marktplaats. Slowly, mainly through responses in threads on various fora I begin to see some other Gloria's. I have the impression that the Gloria I bought is a bit less refined as the old pre-war models. But nevertheless...

    Gloria, an atypical Italian bike

Yesterday I received a Gloria frame which I bought via marktplaats.nl. The frame is Italian but has a more French air being a typical randonneuse frame. Larger forkrake, eyelets for mudguards/racks and mudguard clearance at the brakes. Aso a nearly full set of braze-ons. So I'll finish it wit a...

    Sachs new success

Sachs New Success looks a bit less refined as Campagnolo Record. It's function was at the same level, pro stuff. I do half a New Success group waiting for a suitable frame.

I'll be there, 4th time. Quite likely with the same bike which is slowly reaching retro vintage :D

    Classic Dutch racing frame, Reus

Found this one on Marktplaats.nl: http://link.marktplaats.nl/161471480 I've mailed with the seller, for me there isn't enough clearance for mudguards, so I won't be in.

Retro full suspension road bike from paris roubaix...

I can still remember him throwing away his bike. A classic I prefer not to miss watching. I'll be standing at the Orchies-les-Orchies sector next sunday.

    White roadie parts?

I still have a nearly ful set of Miche white (a bit yellow now due to age) parts. They were entry-level, got them with a Concorde bike I crashed

    retro HOLLAND meeting?

Another Dutch rider here. But I prefer to stick to paved roads, none of my real retro bikes can do any mud. Only a KOF can handle a small amount of mud. But enough nice asfalt roads near Houffalize, my 300 audax passes it next saturday.
