I guess it would be heavier (not that it was an issue given Max OR's general heft already) and not so flexible re design. That said, on this bike I think it really works. It is one of the few Italian MTBs (the Colnago Glico is another) that captures the real "Italian" flair of the road counterparts.

I don't know that IRD made a 1.125 Ti. I had a 1 inch Ti once and those are very rare. Willits made great Ti stuff.
