Does anyone own a Steve Potts?

My modernish/retroish Potts 29er - en route to me. It is now in my front hallway waiting for the weather to clean up a bit. I am not quite ready to get this winter muddy. Something older (1983) Not branded Potts, but its a Potts (1984) and a little newer (1985/6) some history...

BoTM January 2012 - Nominations Please

Thanks for all the positive replies. I am surprised that there is no love for the saddle - it is the WTB designed Spec saddle - I think they are great. The bike is classic SoCal from the early 90s. Racy, a little stretched out with upright geo. I liked riding it. For Steve - here is what...

Kind of an esoteric beast, Gecko Y-File (so named because the the fillet brazing was so tidy it didn't need to be filed). Ken Beach was the guy behind Gecko and got his start with Richard Cunningham in the SoCal scene. It is generally thought that the design of his Gecko Genesis inspired the MBA...

    FTW's Yeti Ultimate bike

The magazine mockup precedes the black bike, which looks like a regular Yeti. The MBA Ultimate bike looks like a Gecko Genesis. Nothing to say against the cool bike from FTW and definitely a good back story, just not the first Ultimate.

    FTW's Yeti Ultimate bike

Just so you know, that is just an Ultimate that was sold by FTW. The first Ultimate was sold by John Parker, is black with a welded serial and resides in California.

A bunch more pics here http://www.oldschoolmtb.com/v/fat-ti-93/ Pretty simple specs - Record OR nearly end to end. I have the correct pedals but one is missing a cap so until I remedy... The front derailleur is XTR since it wasn't clear that even with the expansion bits that the Record OR...
