    Retro Shoes???

These are some pretty reasonable handmade shoes that were being promoted at L'Eroica UK this year: http://www.williamlennon.co.uk/footwear ... -shoe.html I've not tried them, but they're on my Xmas list...

High Flanged Hubs - show us yours

Nice collection - I'm currently cleaning up a pair of Bayliss & Wiley Continentals. The rear's pretty trashed though, so I'm in the market for another.. Also, Sunshine are Japanese (and also known as Sansin).

    Joe Waugh 653

Lovely build, really like that colour. I'm local too, and have a pair of M.Steel/Joe Waugh frames. The geometry, lugs and detailing on yours are very close to my 531c Joe Waugh. Different fork crown, though I sold another Dave Yates frame a while back that had a similar one. The frame number...

    L'Eroica Britannia - this weekend

I'll be there along with Joe, and a mate on a bodged-together Pug. Planning on the 100. I'm hoping the regular (every 15 miles or so) food stops in the second half will get me through it..

Looking for info on my Harry Quinn

The 84 next to the postcode will likely be the previous owner's house number rather than a year.

    1972 Peugeot PX50

That's a lovely restoration. Out of interest, where did you find the Mafac springs? I'm in the market for some and have seen some repros from a US eBay seller, but was wondering if there's another source?

    Hoods

There's a constant supply of the repros on eBay Italy.

The best 700c x 23mm Amber Wall Clincher Tyres?

Michelin Dynamics are OK, but less-than-stellar in the wet in my experience. I'm using Challenge Fortes at the moment, which are good quality "open tubulars" (just a posh name for clincher really) which look & feel great, but aren't the hardest-wearing so maybe not for everyday use. Planet X...

Builders who made both frames and components?

Suntour, anyone? Obviously not actually manufactured by them, but this Superbe-branded frame was a new one on me... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0827031234

    Bob Jackson Special Tourist

That's lovely. What's the front rack, VO?

    First road build EVER

980 was bottom-rung 80's Campag, so not particularly special. Until their patents expired in the mid-80's, Suntour were streets ahead of everyone else mechanically, so would be the better option if you're using friction shifters and value reliability over bling..

Selling a groupset - individually or collectively?

As a rule, you'll never get as much selling everything in one go, but you do save in hassle, and won't be left with a stray front derailleur or something...

    Ron cooper .. More pics/info..

I had a Saba frame that had those playing-card cut-outs on the inside of the fork.
