I've just determined the forks on my lastest project are 97 bombers Z3 and they use a coil spring / elastomer combo.The elastomers are shot in both legs . Is it possible to get replacement elastomers for these forks ?

Aha cheers for that, yep theres markings in both places and they both say 96! So I guess they must be 97 forks which where manufactured in 96.

just had another look at them and on the back of the left leg is a sticker that says L.N.46-96. Could this mean they are 96?, I thought bombers only came out in 97 though

Sounds like a plan, is plus gas with the extra over a generic penetrating oil? Regarding a new BB tool, are there any tried and tested one's out there? I'm drawn to the park bbt22, but it's it actually any stronger than something like the superstar one which is 1/3 of the price

Never mind, I didn't really need another project at the moment and that's why I took a bit of time deliberating over it and you beat me to it. 'll get a retro voodoo eventually, really wish I'd bought one new in 97 when my 94 fire mountain snapped. Looking forward to seeing it when it's restored.

To be honest I can't tell the difference between 15mm and the 9mm bolt through conversion for standard qr drop outs. Both are noticeably stiffer than qr Different story with 20mm though, much stiffer than anything else. The 9mm conversion is a fair bit cheaper too.

It's designed to have the cable or the back, but can go forward of the seat angle of your frame isn't too slack.
