The missus has 2 x hybrids, 1 x MTB & 1 x road, plus we' ve a tandem. I usually buy her a bike when I add to my collection to placate her, It's more interesting than flowers ( and usually works).
Thats one of my pet hates. Modern racing bikes that have the geometry of a sit up and beg.
My other one is that hardly any of these race replicas are sold with a standard chainset - living the dream or what :-)
I think there are some potential carbon design classics o ut there such as the Pinarello Dogma and Cervelo S5,
I can't be doing with some of the cheaper olastic bikes that have obviously come out of the same mould in China and have been rebranded - they are just so boring to look at.

The rough translation (if you had not already sussed it) for what's written on the shell is Trademark CLB Vitus, Made in France and then the serial no.
Peugeot went through a phase of using Vitus steel tubing (IIRC in the mid eighties after their own brand carbolite tubing phase before going...
I bet somewhere in deepest Poland a few months ago, a certain eBayer researched using a CNC and thought 'stuff that it sounds a bit of a faff - I've got a steady hand' and the rest is history.....
