The last year of the pointed top first generation 9 speed ergo shifters was 1998, but according to the Campagnolo catalogue for that year the only 9 speed downtube shifters were Record. I think Veloce were only ever available as 8 speed downtube shifters. If you really want Campagnolo 9 speed...

Re: Campanolo Vento wheels You need to put a price on your advert as per the forum rules for classified adverts. Nice wheels though, I'm assuming clinchers? And a freehub for an 8 speed Campagnolo cassette rather than the later 9 speed freehub?

A quick google search for "Alessandro Petacchi" brings up plenty of pictures of him in the Fassa Bortolo team colours riding a Pinarello Prince with Campagnolo.

I think the mystery is the "size - 58" and the the "measured size - 56", so the 56 decal represents the "measured size" from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the top tube and the 58 stamped under the bottom bracket is the centre to top of the seat tube measurement. At least...
