Sending a frame off to the powder coaters - what prep is needed?

@Tsundere It is area and employment dependent ( Or if they have enough work and cant be bothered to do it). The only cost is labour as garnet can be reused a fair bit before it get too contaminated. Key bits from my experience: Make sure its cleaned of any dirt, oil and stickers these are a pain...

Compatibility - Mega-9 and old cranks

Thanks for all the advice. I have had minimal experience of mega 9 and all of it makes me think it doesn't play well with others as shown in some random pictures using the MT60 crank the drive line looked fine. The chainring gap is as close between cranks as possible yet when i just reset the BB...

Sending a frame off to the powder coaters - what prep is needed?

I work for a company that makes powder coating and have had a few coaters refurb frames for me. Pointers: If you have seen there work and are happy, ask for the colours they work with and leave every thing else up to them. You should look at edge lines where they have protected a surface so it...

My mistake when typing the adjustment is so far the cage can go no further. John has an SRI on three spokes , but Dave's cousin is on the door at Golden and has met Tall Paul.

Compatibility - Mega-9 and old cranks

@Tootyred and @novocaine Thanks for the info i have a handful of spacers ( from god knows where or why). I will see if i can set the crank side to 61 from 56.5. Hopefully this will work. If it does then i can go get a new 122mm BB

Compatibility - Mega-9 and old cranks

But will that stop the jumping( granny to big) its like the pull is too big and a mega 9 crank ring to ring gap is bigger ??? ( If that makes sense?)

Withdrawn 1" Fork for 26" wheel steerer options in post

The head tube is 1" , 140mm top to toe. Paintwork is of no concern just needs canti's for a 26" and some thing that would suit a 90's P7 From my addled reckoning 140mm + 35mm ( Headset) = Threaded 175 ish or Threadless +200mm

Spinergy Rebuild - Rear hub Rebuild

So I have managed to get some time to play on these. When I got these ( at a very good price, Thanks @Magpiegifts ), I was fully aware of the issue's on the rear so this is what i have focused on. The freehub locking thread was gone and trying to Helicoil an M14 fine in alloy wasn't going to...
