    Muddy Fox Sorcerer Mega

Thanks for the compliments. Thinning down to what I actually ride (we are over run with bikes now as the kids are all on full size too) and it was a choice between this and my Raleigh team, the Raleigh is a better road rider and tourer as it has rack mounts so this had to go. It did get the 1...

Anyone using SRAM NX or GX Eagle?

I had to check, switching to GX is marginally cheaper (and I wanted to stick with SRAM and give it a go as I've never had it before). Think i'm going to order that mech too and sell the NX stuff as I should get a bit back on the shifter/mech set. Carl.

Anyone using SRAM NX or GX Eagle?

Ordered the bits from Decathlon (err, Wow, in stock and competitive!) this morning I found they had the GX eagle rear mech in for £75. I may have to match shifter and mech after all as it's making my OCD twitch! Must be able to get a bit back for the only ridden 3 times NX stuff.

Any late-90's Marzocchi experts on here?

I'm using a set of the blue enduro seals on my Z2 Atoms, no issues with them. Fork works really well and are more plush in action than my new Fox 32 Performance forks.

Anyone using SRAM NX or GX Eagle?

I looked at the x01 too, nearly fell off my chair, it was about £100 for a single shifter, massive jump up from the £30 gx! Looked at a gx rear mech too and that was £100. I don’t fit the built in bar clamp ones but because my lad has the older board man with the x7 and avid db3 brakes I know I...

Anyone using SRAM NX or GX Eagle?

I wasn’t no, so they’ve aligned cable pull ratios now then? Still I think I’ll go for the gx and see how I get on, I used to like the double shot downshift of the m8000 but my ocd would let me mix and match to that degree, I’d have to get an xt rear mech too and the nx seems ok to be fair. The...

Anyone using SRAM NX or GX Eagle?

Thanks, good extra info about the single click, the one I linked does 5 upshifts so is the one I want fortunately. The NX shifter feels a bit low rent compared to my old XT M8000's as it's a lot more plastic so I was looking at the GX to add the alloy upshift paddle for a nicer feel too (plus...

Anyone using SRAM NX or GX Eagle?

Got my new bike the other day and for the first time i've got a bike with SRAM parts. The Brakes are Level T (which feel OK and have enough power for XC so I'm happy) and the transmission is NX. Generally it's good but the when the level T levers are set in the correct position the shifter...

The HiFi chat, build and modification thread!

They were mentioned by the seller of the unit I bought too. Contacted them and they can't offer a re-build, I will have another try at contacting DC Boultons first I think.

The HiFi chat, build and modification thread!

I have been looking at these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-QTX-Sound ... SwH71eS0gv Specs wise they are decent match: 8 inch 8 ohm Composite cone Rubber surround The screw holes don't match, however there seem to be zero other 8 inch drivers with 6 holes in them so after testing I could...

The HiFi chat, build and modification thread!

This is true, even my set have 2 different variants (I think my dad must have had a warranty repair at some stage and I think they may have been generally problematic). I did have a look at some speaker suppliers (mainly the pro audio specialists that offer replacement drivers) and I can find...

Spoke too soon the NoS woofer is faulty too :( Took me a year to find a replacement too. I'm going to get one of them rebuilt now. Carl.

Got a NOS woofer for B&W 610i's and they are sounding nice again now. Might get the damaged one rebuilt at some stage to keep as a spare. Still need to get my Sony CDP-790 CD player fixed as the drawer just keeps going in and out.

    Tamiya RC Cars

Re: Still so many of these old Tamiya's i'd like. Superhotshot - One of the ultimate cars from my childhood a rich spoilt kid had and it was awesome, would sit nicely with my Bigwig Fox - My little brothers first RC and decent performer for a Tamiya and the first full plastic Tamiya (I have a...

    Leaking revelation rebound damper

Re: Re: Not sure on that to be honest as the travel on the forks differs, they are the same travel it could well work though. I only have a set of Revs (Recons are long gone now) on my boys trail bike and haven't needed to service them yet. I'm pretty sure that the Pikes are just a chunkier...

    Leaking revelation rebound damper

Re: Re: I did indeed, so it basically sounds the same as my situation but both the damper o-ring and the leg bolt o-ring need replacing as the oil should not leak from the bolt even a bolt with a hole, basically the oil should leak from the damper, with first thing that fails is the lockout...

    Leaking revelation rebound damper

Still uses the motion control damper I think. They sometimes leak from the bottom o ring seal and dump the damper oil onto the lower leg causing poor damping and hydro locking. I replaced the bottom o ring seal in an older motion control damper and it never leaked again, the o ring was in the...

    Early Muddyfox Lovers Anonynmous

Re: Re: Doesn't look like any that I've seen. I think it's a repaint of an 80's bike with some 1988 MF decals. My thoughts for this are lugs were present up until 1987 and the 88 range went lugless and mostly U-braked (most stuff in 87 from Explorer up was u-braked at the rear), so for 87 it...

    Missing my dad

Nearly 18 months on we still haven't cleared the shed or garage of his old stuff (taken a few bits as we've needed them but not really made a dent) which my mum has no realy use or need of. It will take a while as there is a lot of it and questions will be asked of who is taking what which we...
