Re: I don't know what the axle to crown length was on the SIDs I had (2003 SID Race I think), but pretty sure it was more than 2cm longer than the rigid forks. Looking at your photos more closely I think the front end of my bike was noticeable higher too so I guess they must have been longer...

I had a Shimano rapidfire shifter that wasn't clicking through the gears very smoothly or consistently, so I removed the cover and gave it a clean out with some GT85 which seems to have fixed it. Before putting it back together I assume I should apply some lubricant, but what's best? Wet lube...

I'm after a front mech for 63 - 66 degree chainstay angles, bottom pull and 31.8mm clamp size. Ideally something mid-late 90s LX or XT if such things exist, but really just want something to finish a build. Does anyone have anything they'd sell?
