My Duell Vienna is finally built up and it's a beauty

The Vienna was the lightest model and judging by price the second highest model. Couple more:

My Duell Vienna is finally built up and it's a beauty

Found this last year as a frame. Spent some time sourcing a nice Campagnolo setup and then had it built up. Not sure of the actual year it was built but I'm guessing mid 90's since it's made with Columbus EL OS. I've only put around 50 -60 miles on it so far but they have been fast miles...

Trying to find out about this Concorde Frame

Yep, the Concorde, Blitz, Columbus, and Squadra are all decals that don't appear to be under clearcoat. The Ultech logo and other color embellishment is paint. Check out this Diamant Blitz. A whole lot similar but different. If you have facebook a lot of pics here...

Trying to find out about this Concorde Frame

So, Roberto Billato responded via the Billato facebook page to confirm that they did build it. No response though on the tubing. No stamp on the bottom of the brake bridge and it is a different bridge than used on my 8 other Billato built bikes.

Trying to find out about this Concorde Frame

I picked up this frame a couple of months ago but research and asking around has not given me an answer on the frame as to who make it, what tubing, etc. I found a Diamant bike with the same paint scheme, logos, and "Blitz" decal. I know Martelly built some Diamant's so I asked Eddy about this...

Vitus Argal - Anyone know anything about these?

Yep, that's what I found out with more research. The manual that came with the bike even say they were "removable".

The NOS Vitus Argal is now built, modern yet classic.

I'm curious to hear what you think about yours on the road. Mine climbs very well as to be expected with that tight rear end. But it feels very unstable on descents when I get past 30 mph. I routinely descend at speed in the 50 mph range on a variety of other bikes but I'd be scared to try...

I also noticed you have one with the brazed on seat post clamp setup vs mine that requires a collar, cool!

Re: brake cable threading The housing terminates into those plastic fittings, so two pieces. I also had to clear an insect housing out of the tube for the cable itself inside the top tube, LOL!

    Duell Vienna 1996ish frame

More: Art work looking down at the toptube: ?? Racer, or owner, or what??: Logo on top of downtube: Beautiful Fork: Real headbadge, not a decal: The pictures do not do this frame justice. The overall sheen and such is not captured in these pictures. There are some paint...

    Duell Vienna 1996ish frame

I am still a total failure at downsizing. This frame kept popping up at places I frequent and catching my eye. Finally my resistance broke down and I contacted the seller. Worked out a deal and the other day this baby showed up at my door. First off, I will say this was the best packed frame...

    Duell Performance withdrawn from sale

Re: Duell Performance modern steel bike chorus 9 speed I just picked up a 1996 Duell, you are so right. Incredible paint and chrome. Hard to capture in pictures but very evident in person. GLWS

Help ID LECOULANT bike maker, please

Re: You might just be on to something with the Alain Michel thing. A quick search is finding some bikes that have various similar features. And the lopro shown in this post with the same style paint job... http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... p;start=10 I'll dig into this deeper...

Help ID LECOULANT bike maker, please

Ok, another sorta, maybe, mystery bike to ID. You folks have come through in the past so giving it another try. Picked this up recently and the owner wasn't really certain of lineage but thought it might be Gitane. I went though all the 80s Gitane catalogs and don't find anything with frame...

    Campag Shamal or Vento question

I keep considering an older set of the Shamals for one of my steel 8 speed Campy equipped bikes. How did the wheels ride, did you notice the weight?

    Paletti frame, next project

Oops, I never updated after the build. The bike is pretty much done and on the road. I actually did a 50 mile bike ride on it yesterday. Still trying to figure out which wheels I'm going to ultimately run on it but I'm close. It was feeling real good under me yesterday with a new set of...
