yup there is actually 12 versions of the maverick, 3 of which are under other names, like the metropolitan, mustang and Raleigh team edition, 4 group sets, 2 531 editions, one SBDU, and the specialized rock hopper and a run out huffy.

its a reynolds 531 for on the avanti, thunder road used a unicrown k2, the Ozark had a 501 fork :) om the mk1 versions. the mirage was ezct same tube set lay out on the jig, except complete chromoly frame, the chain stay used the Shimano u brake as well. the 531 series was dropped for the SPD...

I watched the lad do this on you tube, not a bad job, i think he said its an avanti mk1, basically a maveric 18 pro. I've got 2 of the sister bikes, mirage 501 1988, ozark 1989. looks like a full refurb needed.
