Hey Did you change the headset from threaded to threadless?

but any will do.

If the current quill is 22.2mm and fits into the steerer and the shim part is 1 1/8 but sits on top of the headset. how would a 1 1/8 quill fit? is the actual bit that goes inside the steerer smaller than 1 1/8? or is it forced into the steerer? Thanks

Also when i search up other quill stems they look way shorter than mine?

Thanks The frame is from 1991ish, it's a giant cadex carbon fibre frame. I wanted to put a 1 1/8 fork on it a while ago but was told by forumers it was impossible to do being a 1" quill.

Thanks Measured the quill and it is 22.2mm but the sleeve that it goes into measure 25.4mm... So does this mean I can after all get a fork with a 1 1/8 steerer?
