    MERLIN TITANIUM 2013 REBOOT !!!

Fair enough point, but its still the lowest friction option available. Nothing like a bit of cable on metal contact (on my current Rourke with the Cinelli bottom bracket shell) to make you long for the plastic slider

My First Chris King - me so happy!

Old skool CK Classic rear hub, with the flared hub body. This has the super loud 'angry bee' buzz, not the muted version that comes on the new road specific R45's So very rare to find these without the disc brake flanges  Pencilled in my for my new Merlin 2013 project $400 new but...

    Ritchey P29er Rigid (custom build)

Just a note also on the Hope brakes. Those who have them know this already, but having had generic Avid elixirs on my (now sold FSR Spez) these Hope stoppers are just on another planet! I could never get what all the 'one finger braking' crowd were talking about - now I know! Truly off the...

    Ritchey P29er Rigid (custom build)

Thanks for the info! My first real run out tubeless and I'm just thinking like I normally would re pressures! I'll defo have a bit of experimentation coming up! I suppose I'm thinking at 16 stone weight, if the pressure is too low, at speed, things might get ugly very quickly!

    Ritchey P29er Rigid (custom build)

OK, despite all the palava over fitting the tyres to the rims, once in action (at 30-odd psi) they are unreal down my local hills. Left two (front suspension) colleagues for dead on a 400m vertical drop 2km descent..Thought I had them set up a little soft on the ride up, but with tubeless setup...

    Ritchey P29er Rigid (custom build)

No big issue really with the rear brake hose banging about, might look loose but it's pretty solid. It's just so nice to have nothing going under the BB, the wettest & muckiest part of the bike. Seems such a simple concept you wonder why everyone doesn't do it...

    Ritchey P29er Rigid (custom build)

No silver for me! Black is the new black IMHO ! Saddle is going to get swapped out too for full black soon as coffers recover. The Conti 2.4 are just incredible. I had gone for the widest tyre readily available and they were it. Fast rolling but with such a huge volume of air (29" of course as...

    Ritchey P29er Rigid (custom build)

It WAS a full suspension Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Carbon, but that all was getting a bit stupid to keep serviced...now it's a rigid steel, with rigid carbon front end. What was wrong with that in the first place..? Ritchey P-29er (Large) 8) Niner full carbon rigid fork  Hope...
