There are loads of old Victorian hotels reasonably priced in Llandod. Not sure any are particularly recommendable though.

The Llandrindod one is well worth a visit. Last time I went they had a special TdF exhibition with Fausto era Bianchis. Lovely Bit rickety & not very slick but well worth a detour. Like Llandod itself!

That's very nice - the XTR kit looks great, as does the crankset. Liking mine very much - it's a very good uphill and down!

Fair point.. the stays do look a bit thin for discs :D Fork is about to be replaced with a 85/100mm Menja which is certainly lighter!

Help me upgrade my Scapin hardtail & avoid buying a new Hi All I recently scored a 2003 Scapin steel hardtail, which I've built with bits and bobs I've had hanging around. I'm thinking of upgrading and lightening somewhat and would welcome some advice - for general XC work plus SW trail...

Yep, that pic was what caused me to pull the trigger on mine. Looks lovely. Out of interest, where was the pic taken? My Scapin road bike was certainly made in Italy in 2009 - at least unless Michele at the factory was flat out fibbing to me!!?

Hi All Currently building up a Scapin hardtail for use XC and at South Wale trail centres. I'm a long time Brooks Swift fan on my road bikes, but am a bit worried about subjecting one of these to off-road gunk. Anyone have any views, and if it's inappropriate, what else might look nice...
