Bugger. . . looks like it isn't a Zaskar frame then :( I think if id have actually paid for it & bought it as a Zaskar, i'd have been pretty pi**ed off now. . . but hey. . . the frame cost nowt & its built into a lovely bike for not a lot of dosh. so who's complaining. Zaskar or not, wah...

What 6061 frame do you think it is then . . . also the year? I was guessing at 1997. No disc mounts on the back :?:

Oh well. . . maybe i should call it an Avalanche with Zaskar stickers on . . . ha ha . . . whatever, its a cheap bike that looks good & rides well & should see me through the winter :D

It was given to me as a Zaskar & under the green handpainted paint, it had Zaskar decals on which looked original. It certainly has 6061 stamped on the inside of the left hand rear drop out. I know the "other" ally framed GT's are 7005, so assumed that as it was 6061 it was truly a Zaskar...
