    Raleigh Technium Instinct

I'm picking it up on Sunday :) That saddle, stem and bar will have to go though. I'll replace the stem and post with Zoom ones, the bar with a Hyperlight and the saddle with whatever presents itself. I'll bury that one at a crossroads with a stake through it though. Oh and I'm keen to find out...

76 Raleigh Roadrunner ( No really, it's more MTB than it sounds )

The kid bike world in those days was still very Raleigh Chopper oriented, ( like a Stingray but DEEPLY British ) but this was JUST the cool side of uncool parent-approved bike - the colours, graphics and in particular the bars made all the difference to me.( I was never actually cool, though so...

76 Raleigh Roadrunner ( No really, it's more MTB than it sounds )

The chain guard on mine ( in 76 ) went on the way to school: trousers in those days were...extensive and mine caught in the thing one too many times so it got slung in a hedge somewhere between Brompton and the Allertonshire school. The bloody thing is probably still there. I did offer a pair of...

76 Raleigh Roadrunner ( No really, it's more MTB than it sounds )

Hello folks. I just got this: it's a 76 Raleigh Roadrunner. And it's almost original ( the pedals are wrong and it's missing the headtube badge ) It's in bloody good condition for a 46 year old kid's bike. ) Reader: Alright Baldy, what are you doing posting a kids ROADrunner here in the MTB...

Wanted 89 Specialized Hardrock 18 or 19.5 in Blue

Hi folks, anyone got one of these and not too far from ( or in ) the North West? Or willing to box? Preferably an 18 but either size is fine. Good condition would be nice. ( after all, the Specialized catalogue for that year calls it: "Nice Blue" - possibly the worst name for a finish ever...

It's getting new cables and a new front mech today then a ride tomorrow. I'll give my feelings on the Dual Control levers then. I like the look of them, though, I must admit. BOAB

It's got..."brifters" 09 Kona Nunu I mean Kula. Yes. Kula.

Morning people, this is my newly arrived 2009 NuNu. ( I mean Kula. ) It's got, er, brifters. That said it also has nice disk brakes, and isn't dropping to bits. And a nice cockpit generally, with a Tora that seems to work well. The front mech is fecked but I have several decent ones kicking...

1993 Muddy Fox RocknRoll Full Sus

I saw these at BicycleExpo in 92 ( for the 93 year ) and around the corner another company was selling identically framed bikes ( some company I had never heard of I seem to remember ) the MF chaps were unaware and not happy when they found out. You could get steel or alu framed bikes up to...

Says it's a Wheeler e-stay, but looks like a Saracen. Am I missing something?

Definitely not a Saracen: look at the seatpost/stay junction: the Saracens had penetrated top tubes and externally butted seat tubes, rather than the sleeve/lug type affair here. Also, though I can't be sure it looks as though skinnier tubing is being used on the stays here. Different droputs...

Getting the swingarm off a 2000 Marin B17.

Thanks - I want to re spray the swingarm ( it's been repainted over the original finish with what appears to be Artex made of mashed rat. ) I'll give that a try, thanks again for the help!
