1) 16 inches. I am thinking of changing to a Surly fork. 2) They are 26" wheels with bmx hubs. 3) The vbrake mounts hold tight and easy to align. took about 15 minutes to adjust. The bike on MTBR was cool but I wanted more of a trail bike. That one had a coaster bake.

^^^ aest are flexy rubbish, id get the disks fitted if i was you^^^ Interesting. Been on a couple rides and did'nt notice any flex. Actually I thought they worked really well on some very steep hills.

My Trek ss project completed.

Completed. Took her out for the first trail ride. The trail is singletrack at the base of the foothills similar to a roller coaster. What a blast to ride.

Totally stoked. Just picked up another Klein for the hoard. Mint condition frame, front and rear shock. Found on the local Craigslist. Updates coming.

Re: Trek SS project (Updates pg2) V brake adapters arrived and a close up of the CNC brake levers... Unfortunately the only options on the adapters were gold, purple, blue and hot pink so I went with gold.

Re: Trek SS project (Updates pg2) A change in direction. I have decided to buy a pair of AEST CNC V brakes and a pair of V brake adapter clamps that are used for BMX bikes on the rear. I think the retro look with CNC parts is going to be nice. Cost: V brakes $90 Adapters $60...
