WTD - Modern hybrid for commuting

A colleague at work is on the hunt for a hybrid for his ~8 mile commute. To give you an idea of what he's after, he is watching 2-3 year old Boardman hybrids on Ebay. I said I'd put the feelers out to see whay is available. Absolute max budget is £300. So what ya got?

    What hoses?

I presume it all depends on the ID of the hose. The one in the Ebay add looks to have a large ID, but that could be a generic photo of just the zoom making it look larger than it is. The pdf is HERE

    What hoses?

According to these, you need M6 Banjo's. Kit 5 Superstar seen to have a pretty good rep for these types of things.

    Big ring question.

Hi All I have a Deore 42/32/24 chainset on my modern Trek. I'd like to up the big ring size to give my on-road sections a bit more ooomph (might as well make the most of it seeing as we have too much of it round these parts) I was under the impression that there is an unwritten rule saying...

Need help - something on German eBay I need!

Do you know where in Germany it is? I have colleagues who live close to the Belgian and Dutch borders with Germany who I see quite regulally (we have a team meeting on Thursday next week) If it could be delivered to them I could easily get it off them. Worth a shot if no German members...

    Bargaintastic Garmin 705

You'd presume they're compatible wouldn't you. It's certainly worth a look in your local branch, and you never know they might do a price match thingy if you ask. What does the sporttrack software do? is it used instead of the Garmin software or aswell as?

    Bargaintastic Garmin 705

So, I recieved some "high street" gift vouchers from work (long service award) and decided that as they were usable at Halfords I would treat myself to a bike computer. I knew there was an online offer on the Garmin 200 at £117 so though why not. I'd never normally justify that amount on a...

It looks the same as any other cycle scheme to me. The only difference is they use a pre-paid credit card rather than a voucher.
