Re: It was the fashion to fit everyone with the biggest frame they could possibly get a leg over. Particularly if the rider was young. 25" frames were the starting point for anyone over the age of about 9. "He'll grow into it" etc.

Re: Had this same problem. I just filed out my tacx lock ring spanner a tiny bit to fit the larger diameter of the Mavis lock ring. It still works on normal diameter lock rings as well. You’d be welcome to borrow the adapter spanner if you’re ever near Leeds.

Hi I have a frame that takes quill stem, but it has an adapter for threadless that i don't know how to remove. It's a plain alu tube with a machined collar at the base, I can see no way to get it off. It has a star fangled nut in the top. Can anyone advise how I get it out please? TIA

Re: Thanks DSH - I did look at Ebay and I think the clincher sets get more than this, as do the 12 spokers. A thin market though, hard to say...

Hi so I just bought a bike with some of these on. Can anyone tell me what they're worth, prices seem very variable. Too late to be of interest to me. 8 speed campag freehub, clinchers, stickers don't say 'titanium'. Look in decent condition.

Re: Get real. No 30 year old brakes come with a watertight guarantee! Buyers should be realistic and respectful of people putting stuff up for sale on here or everyone loses out.
