Fisher CR7 in need of TLC

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Gary Fisher sold is company "Gary Fisher MTB" in or about 1991, he stayed on as CEO or something and the bikes were then made in Taiwan. This was before the Trek takeover of 1993-1994. That could explain the decal changes.

Fisher CR7 in need of TLC

Re: Yeah same frame as the article. I think it was released one year with a matt effect main triangle, similar to the matt marin paint jobs. While the forks and rear triangle were chromed. Looks like the main triangle is oxidising and there's been some cover-ups at both the front and rear...

Fisher CR7 in need of TLC

One sorry state of a CR7, pity it's too big for a short-ass like me! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gary-Fisher-E ... SwuxFYxXnU

FS '95 Breezer Thunder frameset 15"

Came across this tiny offering on my nightly trawl of eBay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/281789529526?roken=cUgayN It's the right size for me and if I didn't have so many current projects I'd snap it up.

Bertolo Columbus Genius - M900 XTR

Re: Hi, is this bike still going to the US or would you consider splitting it, I might be interested in frame and forks if you could take a few measurements for me. I'd like to know the effective top-tube (horizontal) length and a stand-over height. Cheers.

    Bontrager privateer nice paint

Re: It's got to be one of the last Trek built Bontragers, 1.125" headset, 73mm bottom bracket shell, no roller for the front-mech. The rear-drop outs are a real give away. I've started stripping the frame ready to send it to a frame builder for alignment checking and painting. Was thinking...

    98 Bontrager Privateer Comp

Re: Do the modern forks not screw up the handling. I've just managed to get a '98 Bonty for a steal off eBay and am considering what to do. Not sure if I should restore back to how it was initially, or do as you've done and fit relatively modern parts. I do intend to keep using it as god...

    Bontrager privateer nice paint

Safe in it's new home. Yup I won the auction and for the price I won it, I would have been happy if the frame was the only thing worth saving and that's pretty much how it is! I'm not sure if the bike has been used in the last few years, it certainly hasn't been maintained as well as it could...
