I'm lost, I mean each to their own but that there is a thing of beauty so why sell/swap? Wish I had a San Andreas like you wouldn't believe...

Girvins Vector 2 for spares please

First of all thanks for the reply and taking the trouble to post fotos. Not sure if it was a big leap to Girvin vector 2 but I don't see the relative parts. If I post pics of mine too maybe you could advise if yours have the same bits. Here's the advert I saw for my recent purchase...

    New boy's old Proflex

On the off chance, I'm after a couple of upper/outer pivot bushes for my vector 2, in case you have a bag of bits....

Girvins Vector 2 for spares please

As the title suggests, parts required for a refurb project. Any condition, must have pivot bushes. Ta.

    New boy's old Proflex

There are a number of ARB type solutions from what I've seen, even expensive options like Powerflex, but skateboard wheels are a new one on me. As Apache has noted, the rear solution is probably best using the correct elastomers from the US, perhaps we could club together for a bulk order...

    New boy's old Proflex

All jokes aside I think as mentioned earlier in the thread this may generate significant interest from Girvin advocates. I still like the traditional elastomers from a nostalgia point of view but the thought of a sealed robust shock assembly has great appeal. Now to source a short air...

    New boy's old Proflex

Hey thanks, it's more some guidance I'm after, the idea of changing the linkages around to make the shock fit plus any bespoke bits for the job is not something I've thought about. I guess the cantilever action has to be modified, looking at your pics I think my Fox shock may be a bit long...

    New boy's old Proflex

Got to say I'm waiting with girvins and a Fox Vanilla shock in the garage for some techy help! Hurry up, it's cold in here and the spiders are planning a mass assault...

    A Saracen question....Info much appreciated

Ha, brilliant... I don't wear the stilettos - cleats don't work too well. Building a retro proflex 955 bought as a frame and fork combo on here, will be an interim build to get it rolling and work on the gizmos as they become available. I'm working on the 'get fit or die' mantra for 2012...

    A Saracen question....Info much appreciated

Hi, old post but found you through a trawl regarding my Addiction! What you have is the 2000 model that came with the Risse swing arm, albeit late in the year which delayed the delivery of mine for the race season. From the pictures and notes, the rims and saddle are non standard, worthy...
