I had assumed that it was a feature on the larger sizes, hence being worried it may be bigger than advertised. It could be a repair, which I have no problem with for the equivalent of 15 pounds. The seller has now got in touch and I will be picking this up during the week and investigating. :)

Hmm I feel you recently removed my Rohloff from my D-Jab as I missed the noise and lightness of it as a singlespeed with the hope trials hub. Planning on getting a reasonable steel frame for the Rohloff so the weight change is not so noticeable!

I use linseed oil, cannot remember where I read to do that may have been sheldon brown... not sure if it was only recommended for stainless spokes with brass nipples or was ok with alloy nipples. I guess I will find out as I have alloy nipples... Roger Musson wheel building states he uses...
