It seems the 1996 Bizango had the down tube stop. In the 1997 catalogue, the stop has moved to the seat tube .. although the frame looks otherwise identical

I just picked up a 1996/7? Bizango. Paint has held up well. Needs better parts

Size is 15.5” - but it’s a long TT - so it sizes like a 17” Bosses ain’t removable. I was going to attach a mini rack to them … to give them purpose ;)

1992 had brazed on rack mounts .. 1994 has different dropouts .. so I’d say 1993 almost certainly. Difficult to tell the early models apart though without paint

Nah. It’s a repaint. Dropouts and down tube cable routing point to earlier model… I would say 1993 - possibly a lava dome / cindercone

More pics. Only minor scuffing to the anodising which is barely worth a sharpie. I bought some new pads too, which I can include. The are red, but not the Eagle ones. New springs (and o-rings) are still available from Paul or SJS cycles in the UK for not a lot of cash if you want maximum shiny

Paul’s brakes Maybe the Mk.1? VGC - all parts included .. even 2 x original moon units. 2 of the Ti post bolts replaced with steel ones.. easy to replace if you wished. Was planning on using, but could use Xmas funds. Unsure of value, but there’s a less complete set on eBay for £450! Sold...

Bought recently but build plans changed. It’s a 1992 in 18” .. which seems smaller than the 18” of later years. 1-1/8” headtube Clamp on V brake stop in lieu of the dog collar. Very tidy condition with nice shine to the paint and only minimal scuffs for 31 years! SOLD

I don’t know much about these except that they are early brakes from Paul Comp. These are in very good condition, albeit slightly tarnished springs I gather they are rare but some asking prices seem ridiculous. What is a reasonable price for them?

I have a very similar frame - A fillet brazed Audax in Zona .. exquisitely built by an excellent British builder. I have no time to ride it but I'm loathe to sell it for peanuts. When I worked in a bike shop in my youth, plenty of roadies would drone on about how disc brakes would never work...

To add to the confusion, Columbus made Zona tubing (steel) and Zonal tubing (aluminium) This is evidently a beautifully made steel frame by one of the most respected British builders, but the interest in rim-brake bikes has fallen off a cliff. £500-600 would be a good price for the spec
