Initially started building it up with odds 'n ends sourced from the spares box and an enjoyable rake through the bins at the Bike Station (Edinburgh). However, in keeping with the "safety bicycle" theme and in preparation for a MacRetro SS gathering last year* I simplified the drive...

Bought some decal paper on fleabay, bought the white stuff but should have got the transparent stuff, would have turned out better. Still, lesson learned. :D

Ta - first time with Decals, as soon as they were on the frame realised my mistake. :( Yes it does bug me.

Apologies to MacRetro members who have come across all this over the past six months in various threads, but I thought I'd pull it all together into one place. :) Having found myself mountain bikeless last year* I picked up the following cheaply on gumtree, a 90's GT frame of unknown...

The GT had been languishing after a hard winter, so spent the afternoon administering some TLC including chain, pedals and a chain tensioner (as suggested by Velo some time ago). Excuse the arty shots :wink:

It's my fixed gear green meanie (see signature), originally a Reynolds 501 Falcon frame. Towards the end I think the powder coating was holding it together. :?
