Bontyfiend, yes I did swap pedal axels. getting two different "SPD" pedals out of my bits box with the same axel proved eventful. More interesting still was switching the freewheel around on the (traditional) non-drive side. Fixed wheel would have just been too easy! Anyone else get a soaking...

Also got an Alpinestars project on the go. Cr-Mega in fluoro glory. Gotta love it or hate it. Needing a chainset and front mech. Got black LX cantis to go on it v. soon. Still rides great. Everybody loves a tight back end, don't they?

No advantage whatsoever, just wondered if it could be done with normal bits and pieces. Raced this bike at Beastway (RIP) dressed as a wizard 2002. All good fun.
