    1998 Schwinn Moab 1

This year's winter bike. I bought it from the original owner yesterday. I've just replaced the saddle with a Flite ti, and flipped the stem. Much better!

    Specialized Rockhopper 1995 dropbar gravelgrinder

Cool bike! Are the roadie shifters directly compatible with mtb derailleurs? I've been wondering about that, as I have a lugged US Trek frameset lying around, which would be a good candidate for a drop bar conversion.

Name my frame / Is this anything?

I'm calling it a Moab. I picked up this '98 one yesterday, and except for the canti bridge it's the same thing.

Name my frame / Is this anything?

Re: Re: That's what I'm leaning towards as well. When I've asked about the frame in other fora, some people have been sure it's a Homegrown. But I've yet to find a picture of a Homegrown that's an exact match (despite diligent google searches). So it makes sense if it's something similar, yet...

Name my frame / Is this anything?

They do look similar. But, as you mention, the pad mounts are different, and the brake on my bike doesn't have linear springs.

Name my frame / Is this anything?

The rear brake is interesting as well. So any information is welcomed. I haven't broken the bike down yet. But it appears to me that the crack is in the paint, and the headset cup, but not in the head tube itself. Also, I don't see any welding in that area - just shoddy spray paint.

Name my frame / Is this anything?

I picked up this spray bomb victim for the parts earlier this year. It's quite light, and seems to be of decent quality. So I'm wondering if it's anything...

Thanks :D I could do without the huge logos. But other than that I'm well pleased with these tyres. They weigh about the same as Kojaks, and roll almost as well on dry asphalt. But they have a lot more grip on looser surfaces, as well as on asphalt now that it has gotten wet and greasy.

    1995 Sunn Vertik 2 - 'Tis a new bike on page 4

I went up to my family's summer house this weekend to get the rest of the bike, and some tools home. Now I know how I'll be spending my spare winter evenings :D

    Work bikes

Me too :D It started out as a cheap(ish) parts build. But it rides like a dream, and has gradually turned into a bit of an upgrade/weight weenie project. The latest upgrade was a set of titanium wheel skewers: Which shaved off 68g. My fave pic of it - taken during a retro group ride...

    1994 Wheeler 9800

Thanks :) . I'm glad you like it. It was just supposed to be a cheap parts build. But it rides like a dream, and I've been bitten by the upgrade bug. So now I'm on a quest to get it down to 10 kg. And I know about the lock. My workplace has a locked shed for bikes, and at home I bring it up to...
