    Nice "Retro" Colnago for 2010

55 They need to start stopping the Ahead and start doing the threads again. Thats as close as they can get to a tasteful 1" Ahead and its still clumsy.

Gipiemme Parade wheels - spokes and freehub replacement

Spokes Whats the length of these babies? Measuring from the inside of the bend of the spoke to the rim +4mm will be about right.. I might have something that will do. Not as bladed as these things but aero nonetheless. Cheers.

    Noisy Zondas??

Zondas Greasing can help but you get a dull ratchety noise rather than a hollow metallic ratchety noise. It will help them in the long run though.

    Modern wheel advice...

wheels These cheap Shimano wheels are terrible. The rims are heavy and dead and the braking surface doesn't last too long either. The bearings they use in those cheap cast hubs are dreadful and there is little or no sealing. The Aksiums are a bit better, fairly stiff and track well but...

    ebay.co.uk : colnago master

MXL Well, I bought one for £450 from Italy when the prices were stable and it only reached £370 after a year or so here in the UK. Unfortunate loss for me but I had some fun finding out it wasn't the frame for me anyway. Great for a faster rider who can make it 'work' perhaps and no matter how...

    ebay.co.uk : colnago master

MAster Prices for MXL frames have plummeted. A good one with Force forks will make £400 max I reckon. That guy keeps bringing these big, sometimes weird things out - that one would be better split, the wheels would put people off, nevermind the price. You've got to watch what your doing when...

    1989 Raleigh Montage

Raleigh TASTY! You could strap some rear panniers on that and cycle round the world. Come back in 2 or 3 years and write a book, get a nighthood for your efforts and live in the lap of luxury for the rest of your life. These are the kinds of things that happen to Raleigh Montage owners.

CR-MO Alpine Stars Frame & Fork

frame Save this from eBay! I reckon £50 is a steal for this - I had one very similar and its a lovely ride. Shame its too small for me (as usual).

    Wanted: Mavic GL330 or GP4 rims. 32h. 700c

wheels Nice, but the GEL280 is too light for me I'm afraid and silver wouldn't do the bike colour scheme justice. Thanks very much though. The only older grey 700c rims I have now is a pair of 28h Metamorphosis which would be perfect but I can't get a late 90's Record rear hub in 28h. I have...

    My First Road Bike

frame Nice starter. Paul Milnes used to have some nice MTB frames in the 80's and 90's. They were similar in geometry to Konas at the time and some of the first with slopey top tubes. If thats what it is, theres a good chance its 531. Nice lugs eh. A little bit different to the usual...

    excited (another Dutch bike)

Batavus Paris-Roubaix rear rim and SSC front? Maybe not but that bike was VERY expensive in its day. I remember seeing one very similar in a shop in France. I was on a mission to pickup a bike there as it might have been cheaper than the UK at the time. It wasn't. This kind of thing was...

JUBILAT 2 rost style from POLAND :)

OLD SCHOOL Dobry, Some really cool bikes on there. Thanks for that. I'm going to have to get a shot on one of these choppers some time. Before the old bones grow together. I love the look of some of them.

    Delicate frame lining.

lining I've often thought these pens would be good for this. They say they are permanent but maybe UV would get to them. You can get them from a £1 shop or Stationery Box or similar. A rigger brush is a bit long maybe for the tight turns, I think a little fine pointer brush is better for the...

    Delicate frame lining.

paint Just plain old Humbrol enamel will do the trick. A '00' brush is fine, pardon the pun. £1.50 from your local model/hobby shop. Its a steady hand thats needed - keep the angle 45' angle of the brush constant and support your hand with the other one firmly. Turps or white spirit to...
