highly doubt it, theres a few homemade machines like that knocking around here, regularly seen getting ragged down the canal by 40 year old bald men in tracksuits.

this is a normal saturday night for us :facepalm: she calls it "time together, cuddled up on the sofa watching tv" i call it hell. i can tolerate certain shows but geordie shore, towie, big brother and all that crap just ugh !

No its not just you. im now being forced to watch the pure sh*te that is geordie shore or whatever they wanna call it, i like to watch wheeler dealers, wrecks to riches, american chopper, the cycle show and the moto gp but all this reality stuff is aload of crap !

im finding the same thing, ive done 45mpg so far and im not exactly on a ecodrive either and this is with a automatic gearbox, ive only put £30 in diesel in so far and the needle has hardly moved so far, the nissan was getting 35mpg if i was lucky :/ IF your going to fix the ford id be looking...

my focus is now 10 years old, over 170k although its tatty cosmetic wise, runs sweet as a nut, not a issue with it, was looking at new cars myself but the older cars (10 years+) are just as good and will probably last a bit longer, the gf will be selling her c2 soon and getting a 99 ford fiesta...

bit of a better pic of the car. theres paint missing off the front bumper, loooong scratch down the passenger side, nice bash in the rear bumper just by the towbar where im assuming a trailer tow hitch as hit it, the car is generally filthy and i cant be bothered cleaning it :)

what about selling it on ebay as spares/repairs? then getting something a little older but in working con for a few hundred, i just got the focus for £450 so bound to be something like that around ?

engine issue could be something really stupid, what do you mean by it feeling like a elastic band pulling you back? just no power there? im studying mechanics, doing placement in a garage, the wiper thing could be a simple 15 min fix with no parts, i pay £20 a tyre part worn and charge £5 a tyre...

well im going for my first really long drive + really long drive in the focus on monday, off to prestatyn for 2 nights with the gf. 100 miles there 100 miles back according to the sat nav. im sure itll eat the miles on the mototrway :)

ive got a a2z from when i first got the micra as the 12v socket didnt work meaning i couldnt use my sat nav........ theres a thomas the tank blanket lin the boot from when the dog was in there and ive got toffees in the driver door card..... does that count? :lol:

if you can get all the parts you need from a breakers yard and fix it yourself? is that £50 pre worn tyres or brand new? if you sell the car at auction now youll be lucky to get a grand for it i think :/

well as you can see in the pic we live on a reallly steep hill wich the council snow plows cant get up in the snow so they dont get cleared, snow chains will probably get bought if not im thinking a set of steelies and some snow tyres (will keep them in shed when its not snowing and put alloys...

yet to see what its like on diesel really but i put £20 in it lunchtime and done the last schoolrun for a week in it, should see what sort of mpg i get in next few weeks.kids seemed happier, even had the dog in the boot, plenty of room and nice not to have them bickering for once. feels stuck to...
