Got a Tracer Crankset and wanting to get smaller chainrings. Measuring the BCD seems to be 70mm center to center. This makes 140mm BCD. Please tell me I am an idiot and measuring wrong?

Postman came, with a big radiator box and a pair of forks sticking out the side. Looked ominously like the usual shambles that is City Link. Had a look and they seemed ok and once on the stand it confirmed it. Lots of small patches of surface rust and the BB shell has lost most of its paint...

That is lovely! Need a cap for the crank bolt though... ;)

Re: My Shorter - ready for summer Thanks. Will wait for arrival and take some decent pictures. I know from the pics its decals say columbus and it has 105 groupset and a broken set of bars! Other than that its a mystery.

Re: Well, its not even been started yet due to buggering my back on Xmas Eve so just been buying bits as and when they are on special offer. Just waiting for a new brace and then I'll get started. I have a few more bits than that, not much more to get and a tiny spare room to do it in as I live...

mrcpea, that is bloody gorgeous. Not sure I could cope with all that white but looks stunning. Not a Galaxy, but doing up an Horizon at the moment. I used to have a 1980s Super Galaxy but it got written off in an accident.

Got an old Wayfarer as basically a box of bits and it was missing a few parts. Had levers but no brakes. Ones I fitted a pretty long drop but still catch the tyres so wondered if anyone knew what was originally fitted or how long the drop was so I can source replacements. Thanks
