Re: Curson. Thanks for replies. Only need hubs, so would only cut out hubs which would be a shame. Wolber clinchers a tad heavy for build. Also, apologies for posting publicly, have no pms.

Various bits required. Crankset dust covers Chainrings pref 52, 39 others considered Front derailleur for spares. .. need chain guide bushing and nut setup Other bits from groupset considered.

Re: TDC spot on, same as on Hilary Stone. Know little about them. Crown race has some wear. Chrome has pitting. Worth putting back in, or what would be a good alternative.

Do you recognise the headset? It’s an odd affair. Lockring normal, but top race has a drilled hole either side to remove. It’s as if it would need a special tool to tighten.

Going to rebuild wheels using Tipo hubs. Chap in our club rebuilds wheels, so if I am going to have them rebuilt, will get the best rims I can. Any other early alternatives to MA2s? Any ideas on headset make? Bike now totally stripped by another friend in the club. Frame and fork match. He...

Any idea which brand the headset is? No manufacturers name. Only a lockring on top. Two drilled holes on bottom part to “lock” headset for removal. Also, fitted with AVA sprint rims ... what would be a quality clincher alternative for period rebuild? If headset were replaced, which model...

Will strip down and clean and refresh parts. Will have it sand blasted, zinc oxide coated and then painted. I assume it should be enamel paint. Looks like lugs have been depicted in white. Anybody know a decent painter?

Re: I will check later. I remember the bike when I was still at school and I am now nearly 50. I know its whereabouts for at least the last 35 years. Certainly not been used in over 30 years.
